Possibly a big ask but any members close to Leeds area?

Post by ArthurSleep » Fri Apr 27, 2012 12:59 pm

Hi everyone, prospective first time (E53) X5 owner here & newbie to the forum.

I'm looking at a '05 3.0d X5 online in the Leeds area. 60K milage. Looks nice but the dealer wants 14K for it.

Wondering if there's any ITK E53 heads (local to Leeds / Wetherby) that would be willing to look it over for me. I'm 3 hours away so not local at all.
I'd be happy to sort someone out with a return favour or payment. I've been on this forum just one day & I can see there's some really REALLY clued up people here.

Like I say, maybe a big ask but figured I'd give it a shot.

I've HPI'd it & have the report here as a start point.

Any chance you could give us details of the advert. Is it on autotrader?

Thanks.

Well the wheels look like Style 215's which means that if they're OEM then they ain't 22" but 21" and are off an E70 type X5 or even an X6. Never seen those wheels in a 22" version from BMW.

"Fully loaded" meaning what - 100kgs of sand in the boot? They're not exactly saying much about the spec.

Doesn't look like it has HID lighting fitted as too many switches on the light switch panel.
Privacy Glass - Yes
Power Steering Column - Yes
Electric Sports Seats - Yes
Dog Guard - looks like one in there.

Can't tell much else.

4-previous owners, possibly plus the current one means 5 in reality.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Nice looking car for the $$$$. They are sooo much cheaper in the UK. That car would be £25,000 ($38,000 Aus) at least in Australia
