PDC issue
PDC issue
I wish they would have costco size parking spaces!
My PDC sensors don't work on my car. tbh its something I didn't really check when I bought the car.
Would you take this to an indy to fix or something you would do yourself?
if DIY where would you pick the sensors up from?

Re: PDC issue
Abailability all the way from dealer to ebay.
First activate PDC, walk around listening to each to find out which ones have failed.
Its DIY, depending on youe skills, you'll need to take the bumper off.

That's sound cheap for a "real part"...do these fit facelift front bumpers (outer and inner)

assuming its the font.. (pls find similar instructions for the rear) check this out, actually TIS says to just pull the sensors out:

i'm sure its easier with the bumper out though..:

Does say on that link up to 2003.
From 10/2003 preliminary task - remove front bumper trim. Which is correct. Facelift bumper needs removing pre facelift doesn't

Re: PDC issue
Just want to say thanks for this!
Got it sorted tonight. its was rear drivers side sensor. I popped it off and had some mud and then sprayed something to clear the connectors and plugged in and worked!
My indy garage wanted £87 to diagnose the fault plus £100 for sensor etc. Doubt he would of tried cleaning the old one either.
So am very happy although i did break that outer casing of sensor.

Hi Benxwyatt,
The Plastic cover on the sensor just pops off and then I pushed the sensor through hole and and it came through the gap by the exhaust.
I used a small flat head screw driver to pop the plastic cover off but be careful as I snapped one of the clips on it and it made it difficult to get back on afterwards.
My sensor was just covered in mud and once cleaned it started working straight away.
My indy wanted £88 to diagnose plus £100 for sensor plus extra £50 to fit it. So it def worth trying to do yourself.
If I can do it should be a doddle anyone else as i'm rubbish at fixing things
