24 hours into X5 ownership now

Post by Cannondale » Sun Apr 22, 2012 9:55 pm

Just thought I would put a few pics of my X5, had it 24 hours now and still finding new things on it.

Certainly puts a smile on my face when driving it, I find myself looking out the window just to checks she is ok on the drive... :D

Lots to do Ipod conection is first job then I need a towbar fitted to tow the caravan.

Nice X5, Good choice I'm delighted with my 4.8 it's not been faultless but I still live it and still look out the window at it 2 months later

very different, the VW actually had shocking build quality and i really wasnt impressed and the ride was very choppy it managed to be uncomfortably firm yet floor it and it turns into a boat and wobbles all over the place, gearbox wasnt great either but wasnt exactly slow, 311bhp V10 diesel with alot of torque...i guess it pulls simmilar to a 40d but id never reccomend one (well maybe the new ones are ok, but not the 1st one)

I was looking at V6 TDI Tregs before I bought the X5.

I found the leather to be poor even in a 2008 car I looked at, I guess I liked the drive and quality of the X5 better. Mind the TDI V6 VW Derv was a match for the X5 3.0 Derv IMHO never drove the V10 as I had heard the are off the scale when they go wrong. Once I had driven the V8 that was it.

I have a boring Passat 2.0 TDI as my daily driver so the X should feel special when I use her.

That's because it's the wise move...lol.

Rich, really nice example. Love CB and really wish for the budget you've paid, I could of got one at the time with the extra options and low mileage. Congrats.

i cant at the minute, 25k miles a year in the v8 might ruin the rumble :(
