If Sri Lanka is anything like Thailand, the import duty on an 'X' is about 200%! He had to come back to enjoy his car.......mind you, the fuel is a lot cheaper.....
Only seen one X5 in Southern Thailand, along with a few 10-year old 5-series and a couple of old E36 3-series. Nothing newer.

That's right, good cars are astronomically expensive there. the part u won't believe is that cars actually appriciate in price there! If u go for a car with good resale value and keep it in decent shape u r better off than keeping the money in a bank!
