Hi Is there anyone not too far from Bristol who can lower the rear air suspension via the DIS I know you can get lowering links but I would rather get it done via the DIS if possible.
I want to lower it 30 - 40mm I just think the 4.8is being slightly lower looks so much better.

This, I believe will only lower your rear air suspension. You have springs in the front and you'll have to physically change them. Only going by your signature being a diesel and not one of the 'is' models which have air suspension all round.

Hope I'm wrong though.

Hi Sanj
I am going to get springs for the front but need to get the rear done somehow.
I have been looking out for a second hand Intravee since your demo at the Bristol meet but there don't seem to be many about at the moment.
Hope you are well

Thanks mate, all well. Did I demo it? I was all over the place that day!

Toysinyourcar do have them, someone I know got one in two days, bought the alpine unit on eBay. Bite the bullet mate!

As for lowering, sure if you can wait til the next meet someone will turn up with one, consider tyre wear though, camber will be more so on the backs, I reckon they will wear faster on the inside edges. Only reason I've resisted, but if you get it done and all is positive then I wanna know about the springs and where to get me some!

They are fantastic wheels and suit the X5 down to the ground. One question tho....do you rears have spacers on them??? I have spacers on mine but cant fathom out if they are required due to the offset or to space them out to suit the aerokit?

Your X looks great BTW...:)

Cheers for the comments TT.

I too am running 20mm spacers. They are required as originally supplied with the wheels. ACS decided to make all 4 wheels the same and then use spacers for the rear as a cheaper alternative (but it does allow for rotation front to back if you do wish). The rears become ET25 this way.

I'm actually thinking of selling my rims if anyone is interested as looking at some new rimmage... :?

As far as the suspension etc, a distinct possibility. Depends upon the dealer I suppose, and what breaks.

I can get you a price for Eibach's if you want guys? I also have a set for sale if anyone wants?

Warranty can be affected if the mod directly causes the component failure.
