Tool kit

Post by pvr » Sat Apr 07, 2012 9:19 pm

What should be in there? I found the towing eye in the glove box which I put in the tool kit. The wheel locking nut was in there, but nothing else but it looked like that there should be some other stuff (like the bit to attach to the locking nut to undo any wheels).

No, that's called a socket set, and it's bring your own! My wheel tool and towing eye fit under the boot floor along with the towbar swan neck and the red 'Emergency Handle' for releasing the ebrake and to get yourself out of the boot.

Not quite sure how or why anyone would lock themself in the boot, but there we are....at least there's a key to let you out again - as long as you can remember how to use it. The instructions are in the handbook.......which in most cases, won't be in the boot with you!

Quick rephrase having been out and had a look......I have the red key, a double ended screwdriver, wheel nut key and towing eye. Tow ball in separate compartment. That's all. No jack or any wheel removal parts.

They'll probably ignore it, just as mine did when I asked why they still hadn't provided the 13-pin to 7-pin converter for the towbar!
