It was mine, then they wanted maintenance each year. Then they told me that my old one which just worked was no longer valid and I had to "upgrade" to a new inkjet version which never worked as it dried out all the time ( there is a limit to the number of invoices I can send out :D ).

I stopped paying the rent, they were getting snotty and I told them to go forth and multiply.
But franking machine only gives 2p discount per stamp, and with the 30% increase, the machine will just go quicker through your balance!

I got rid of my Pitney Bows unit as I was just not using it enough anymore and the maintenance charge which is forced upon you outweight any savings.
The discount is bigger this time

Plus divided by 15 partners, net of 50% tax makes them quite cheap for me!

Well this didn't take long to happen. Looks like a few others have also worked out for themselves there are some advantages.

Agreed. But have they hiked their maintenance charges by any chance? That was what caused my conflict with my franking machine.

95% of my invoices are now emailed so my need for postal services have reduced by that percentage as well now. Statements are emailed as well and payments are only electronic (I refuse to pay by cheque now). VAT and tax returns have to be electronic as well now, so no more postage for that either.

I see I have preceded the stampede, so xdrivers is now a site for investment advice as well before the crowds rush in

Must dash to fill up with petrol before there is a rush on that one again (what happened to the strike by the way???)

Strike? What strike?

They didn't need to strike as HM Govt did all the work for free with some really 1st Class advice on how to beat the shortages. :headbang:
