Paint Protection done

Post by pvr » Thu Apr 12, 2012 5:26 pm

Can you believe that there was a train stuck in the tunnel on the way out AND on the way back????

I hate to say it, but the French side of the tunnel was so much better organised than the UK side. It was organised chaos in France versus utter chaos in the UK.

I believe he has. I'm really interested to see the paintwork in the flesh. We need a meet.

Oh yes, it has been done :D

My body is now as slippery as it can be and has a perfect, swirlmark free coat. The car looks ok as well :P

A bag full of goodies to go with it as well to ensure a "clean" car as well. Note that you only clean the car, never wax it so that the actual paint colour remains visible and no grease to hide the actual paint itself. Spent about an hour chatting to the guy whilst he was showing me the prices he has won for best restauration etc.

Ashame it rained all day on the way back so the car is filthy now. However, it should take no time to wash it now though. I can also try my new wheelbrush that I got from them to get into those difficult wheels, even though they have been coated now as well so should make it very easy to clean them now.

Off topic from your slippery body a bit but one of the guys i chat to is working on the ventilation at the tunnel and apparently its getting too hot in the tunnel for the trains and the bean counters wont currently let them turn the chiller units on as they cost £5k a day to run.

Look forward to comparing the smoothness of the X members bodywork's in the future :exitright:

No, very different product - Protech.

He did mention that for some reason, the UK is "obsessed" with Diamond Brite which he showed why it was such a poor product

Some details here: http://protech.mc/guaranteed-confidence.html

And, upon request, the image of the new wheelbrush :)

Image

Much softer and nicer to use than the meguiars one (also more safe).

Oh god here we go again :o How can a wheel brush be called 'safe' are there unsafe ones :?

As for the tunnel issues, that doesn't sit well for a trip in June :headbang:
