fuel filter 3.0d

As some of you may no my x5 is stripped, n e way on my old 3.0i I changed the fuel filter on service which meant the removal of tonnes of the plastic trim, this is currently off my car so wondered if the diesel had one and is it in the same location (sort of under the passanger side rear seat) also if it does is it worth changing now and also a rough idea on price thanks

From memory its on the underside in the same place.......looks like the filter is £30 from eurocarparts

If that's the case a might well put one on while its easy to access

This might help you actually doing it too......although it doesn't actually say where it's hidden! It appears to imply it's in the engine bay, but I thought like you there was one at the rear. Is there more than one?

On my 2003 X5 the diesel fuel filter is nicely on top of the engine beside the webatso heater. Just changed it a couple of weeks ago as part of service...
