Purchased a full set ( B pillar backwards) in 2010 for a summer trip down to Italy. Easy to fit and did the job by blocking out the brightness of the sun.very secure even with windows open. No complaints during the trip from our 8 year old daughter sitting in the back although the dog not too pleased at being sat next to her!! have left them fitted to the x5 coming up for 2 years and no signs of fading or wear.
Black M sport X6 (F16)
Cold weather pack

Multi-func panel

BMW do a version but it works out at about £300, fit like a glove though, it comes in two sets (1st full set inc rear pass door windows & 2nd set are from C pillar and rear window).

I have the set from C Pillar and rear window, I had specced my car with the factory fitted rear winow door blinds so only needed these ones to catch the rear window and small qtr panel glass. The material matches between the factory fitted and the BMW additional kit.

I had used http://www.vanstyle.co.uk/shop/shades-c-2729.html for my Audi A6 Avant last year. For £120 it was decent enough but imo the BMW oem kit is better quality and more robust, but like everything you get what u pay for ;)

Thanks 5wany. Do you know if the ones you spec from the factory are auto roll up and down when you press a button or you have to put them on and off manually?

Thanks

what slightly putts me off is that non BMW rear one is made of two parts so you have a thick black line in the middle of your rear window and see it every time you look in your mirror...

The X5 are manual, would think the next gen X5 will be electric. I just leave mine up all the time.

I was wary of this when I put them on my A6 though I got used to it quite quickly. Also its not that to noticible and it odes darken glass down anyway.
