Retro fit folding wing mirrors
Is it possible to retro fit electric folding wing mirrors?
Re: Retro fit folding wing mirrors
Anything is possible! I may be wrong but I would imagine it would be a hell of a lot of work, wiring and expense to add next to no value to the car, I've heard that the electric folding mirrors cost nearly 1k however this may be a rumor!!

Not sure on the e70 but i did this on the e53 and it was a straight swap the wiring was already there just a matter of taking off the door cards and mirrors and replacing....can't see why you wouldn't be able to do the same on the e70.
As shadrack said mind very costly to do.

ive done it to one, couldnt wire up to the original switch so used a rocker switch instead.

If there's no 'fold' switch in the electric window switch plate, you'll need to add a push button for that too. Might need some coding work as there are functions hidden in the menus visible to dealers that can do certain things with the folding mirror. I think pvr was having summat done to his new toy.

I remember a mate retro fitting folding mirrors to an E46 M3 and the wiring harness was part of the electric seat harness. Not sure if it's the same but it could only be done if your car had electric adjustable seats
