WHY IS MY X5 HESITANT

What else can it be i have an 2002 x5 3.0d manual
i have change the following ,, EGR ,INJECTORS, INLET MANIFOLD,ALL FILLTERS, AND GLOW PLUGS , but x5 still has hesitant it use to be only in high gear as you put your foot down but now its in lower gears aswel............ can any tell me what else i can do and yes its been plug in and no faults found......... maybe the turbo???????????????? i hope not but i cant think of anything else please help its costing me £££££

Hi not being a mechanic but given you have tried several bits have you had or is it worth an Indy or BMW garage looking at it as that way you should be able to pinpoint the problem and then you can either fix it or get them to resolve it.

Usually a Maf sensor but I'd be inclined to get it check out by an indy

yes my x5 has been to bmw for check and they say cant find any thing wrong with x5 they even had to drive around a few days, they say its fine, maybe i should try that MAF SENSOR as 2 of you say it could be that, is this had to fit??????????????

Sadly the dealer will probably just look for fault codes and not look at the running values from the sensors. MAFs fall out of calibration over the years but won't throw a fault code unless they develop a physical fault. I changed the MAF on my wife's diesel Focus a few months ago and now regularly get an extra 80 miles per tank out of it !! Will be doing the X in the next few days.

+1 for the Dealer comments. Most of them have no idea how to diagnose faults from first principles and over rely on the computers telling them. No fault code, then no idea! That's why they're called 'Technicians' now instead of 'Mechanics'.. :evil:
