Hi xdrivers,
I recently purchased a 2002 X5 V8. The car didn't have the alarm fitted, but had most of the pre-wiring. I have added the mirror with flashing doofa, tilt sensor, re-coded the car, and just waiting on the correct trim piece to fit the ultrasonic sensore. The only thing I'm stuck on is the alarm siren - the WDS shows it fitted in the left-side bin under the bonnet - however that seems to be mostly taken up with the e-box, and I can't find the 4-pin connector for the siren.
So far I've only managed to find fitting details for left hand drive cars, and it's got me thinking it must be slightly different for RHD.
Has anyone else retrofitted the alarm and solved this? Or does someone mind detailing where alarm fits on RHD cars and connector branches off the main harness.

Is that by the brake servo?
Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

I did manage to find that diagram - however on RHD cars that side seems to be taken up almost completely with the ECU box, haven't managed to find the connector on either side.

All I can find is this......

Looks similar to the other picture but I would hazard a guess that it's mirrored to the left side of the engine bay.
If no one here knows, the only thing I can suggest is gong into you nearest BMW Dealer and asking to have a look under the bonnet of an E53 up for sale. Most of them will have an alarm fitted as it was standard on the UK car from sometie around 2003 onwards.
