After all the excellent reviews I've read from you lot I thought it's about time I booked my 4.6 in with Jason.
Phoned him up today sounds a really nice chap and have it got it booked in for next Saturday!
Can't wait for the drive home after
Thanks

Re: Finally got the X booked in for a remap :)
Hey Guys,
Sorry for the late response been out the country for a few weeks.
Right well where do I start! Took it into Jason Saturday morning and left it with him for the day
and OMG The X is sooooo much faster now I especially notice it around the lower revs and pulling away so I can definitely feel that extra torque.
My particular car has custom backbox's on it which Jason did say where probably loosing me power.
When we took it for the drive before it was mapped we both noticed that the exhausts made the power delivery very flat.
Jason managed to remove that which was great.
The thing I notice the most is that the throttle is so much more responsive now.
In terms of MPG according to the computer I get about 13.9 around town which considering how I am a bit of a lead foot its probably 1.5mpg's better that before which for me is great. I haven't really taken it on a proper motorway run yet but I would assume this is where I would notice the biggest increase.
Overall I am very happy with the remap and Jason did say that my particular exhausts are the problem he couldn't get more so If I was to put the standards ones back on it would make it even faster which I think will do
Thanks
James

great work! but do bear in mind if you put the OEM exhausts back on you will need it mapped again to go with them and get the most from it,
your fuel consumpion figures sound simmilar to my 4.8 before and after in the motorway depending how heavy the right foot was i could get anywhere from 20-28mpg and even once whislt doing some hypermiling 32.8MPG....... but i agree the best bit was just how instantaneous the power came in

I take this was on a V8?
I am already think of getting mine done as it could do with a bit more at lower RPM.

Yes the 4.6is is a V8, I'm not sure how different it is from the 4.8's though tbh, don't think there's too much in it
