Don't think it is just the nav bit though, the screen gives you the phone, iPod, board computer, radio etc etc so it is the entire "comms" bit which you would be missing without Satnav.

I suppose you're right, but out of all that, how much do you actually use, and would really miss.
Again, with the new smart phones you can do hands free quite easily, and play your music through them, I wonder what we used to do before sat nav was the norm. Read a map I suppose.
