Sat Nav Upgrade
Re: Sat Nav Upgrade
Are their updates available for the antiquated CD system??
Re: Sat Nav Upgrade
Yes, you can do a direct swap to the MKIV system which is DVD based. A lot of members have done this upgrade.
Plenty of units available on ebay, usually around the £300 mark but you can get them cheaper. Also note that the Mini and Range Rover use the same unit, so don't forget to look at those as well when searching.
Can I just remind you all that copies of map DVDs are only legal if you have an original disk containing the same base material ...
I think if you follow the letter of the agreement that comes with the map disc, even making your own backup copy whilst keeping the original is ilegal.
"You may not extract or reutilise substantial parts of the contents of the Database nor reproduce, copy, modify, adapt, translate, disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer any portion of the database."
