CD Changer won't eject ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

mine did it....last track of last CD
problem....not retracting CD back into cartridge
my solution....
changer out
remove all screws
slide off the big lump (where the cables go in) mind the ribbon it's fragile
remove the plastic bits on each side that are used for horizontal/vertical setting
remove cover
look for BIG GEAR WHEEL that's horizontal with the player. Obvious when you see it as it's nearly 3" wide
rotate gear carefully and watch as it draws CD back into cartridge
when back at end stops and CD back in cartridge re-assemble.power up. eject
it's a bit like this but NOT a worm gear as shown....but a BIG horizontal gear that has a cam/groove in it that operates a lever that withdraws CD
be gentle NO BIG HAMMERS or POKING WITH BLUNT INSTRUMENTS
you don't need the front cover off either

thanks mike, i'll give this a try in the weekend.. weather permitted!

you are allowed to do it inside the house you know
push your keyboard to one side and sort it
it took me about 20 minutes...more sweating about how to dismantle it and not drop the screws (2 sizes IIRC). Be careful not to wreck the screwheads with a poor choice of screwdriver. The shel is in 2 pieces and the big bit at the back has 2 screws (maybe three) after which you slide it sideways to unhook. You can unpeel one side of the shell but check for screws behind those plastic vertical/horizontal set plates on each side.
I never kept track of them all but there are quite a few screws. From memeory (vague) 2 each side on show. Maybe some behind those set plates. Some round the back 2 or 3
One half will unpeel and unclip from the front faceplate (you may have to lift the edges) and you'll no doubt instantly spot a CD not retracted...use the gear to retract....shoving or trying to drag the CD with a pointy object wont work....rotate the gear
good luck

Lol... My cd changer jumps and farts all over the place, glad to have iPhone connectivity so yeah im converted to the brighter side. The extra features are really handy too, although I have a suggestion to make to the makers very soon for a feature i think would be handy for me. Particulary as I have converted my snap in adapter into an intravee dock.
Re: CD Changer won't eject ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Right, now I'm gonna do some nice pics of the PS2 install to wet your appetite!
No offence at all, but WHY would you want a DVD option when you can have one caddy hold over 70 films, videos, etc...

brighter side for me is USB support... or if not some storage media like sd or micro sd.
the hoolio and dyna both do it but that means dumping lots of oem eqpt for Chinese goods. yet not convinced that's the right move..

No that's why I went for the intravee. I was also considering the dice mediabridge which has USB. Mixed reviews on dyna and hooli for me to warrant the high price, and if I sell off my oem bits to make some money back for my install and then my Chinese gear packs in after a few years etc I will have to either purchase oem gear back or lay out for another Chinese unit. Intravee I know I will get my money back on if I sell it on and it has some good features which I use daily.
What have I missed regarding DVD?
