Not usually. The firmware is on a separate CD. My 2008/2 disk was just map data. V32 is available readily - and of course your dealer has a copy. Takes less than 10 mins to do.
Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.-

yeah i bought a v32 disk from t'internet and now i've lost the option for the brown coloured screens so just trying to figure out how to get that back by re-installing older software. that'll teach me to go fiddling.
