Just had drive of new XJ Super Sport - Wow (pics)

I was invited by my local Jag garage (have been showing serious interest in that new baby coupe) to an event at the new Amex football stadium for Brighton & Hove

I was asked during the week what car I would like to go and obviously asked for an XKR but unsurprisingly they were already booked out. I've driven plenty of Xf and XFRs so thought I'd try the XJ because I adore them - my favourite big exec by far.

I was pleasantly surprised when they said it was the super sport (XKR/XFR supercharged V8 with 500bhp) that I was borrowing.

Originally they said it would be accompanied and then they said I look trustworthy

so I could take it on my own. They had pre-programmed a route in to the sat nav which I partly knew anyway which involved motorway, a roads and fast back roads with dips, turns and fantastic visibilty for safe good progress.

All I can say is that it was awesome - not one complaint !

Impressive performance,emissions & economy though 0 to 60 in 5.8 secs you cant fault that.
