Brake pads

Post by davyk31 » Wed Feb 15, 2012 12:52 pm

My E70 3.0sd needs both front and rear pads in the next 2000 miles and wanted to have a look at options. Disks are fine which is good.

Anyone a rough idea of dealer cost to supply and fit front and rear pads?

I know its an easy job for DIY or an Indy so what makes of non genuine pads has anyone used and can recommend. What cost?
Also want a pad that creates as little dust as possible as I like clean wheels and the 20" M Sport wheels take a while to clean. Any recommendations on non dusty pads?

Also how easy is it to reset the intervals for pads in idrive or does it do that itself when it senses new pads in?

Brake pads

I've got my E70 booked in with the dealers next week for rear pads and a fluid change, £390 all in. Don't know how competitive this is but gone are the days I'd sit on the drive and swing a spanner

Sounds pretty dear, is that just pads or pads and disks?

I got fluid change done today at dealer for £55 so that leaves you paying £335 for brakes.
