full magnaflow fitted and mapped

Post by Damien4.8 » Sat Feb 11, 2012 12:29 am

Took a drive over to profusion customs today for my full magnaflow exhaust and map tweak.

arrived at 1040 in the morning met Raj who was a nice guy and had a natter with him. He asked me about what sound I would like how noisy etc etc and once he was happy and had any requirements off me he cracked on with the car. I took a trip into london to do some shopping whilst it was all being done.

the job was taking a little longer than expected but its down to Raj being a perfectionist ensuring all is spot on even down to the tail pipes at the back being identical coming through the bumper (unlike when it was standard it was all off).

at 7 in the evening the exhaust and remap was done...........raj took it for a sound test and test drive and was very happy with it..........They called me in to check the underneath and it was clean as a whistle and very well put together.

so the end result was awesome.........exactly the sound I was looking for which wasn't super loud but loud enough to know that theres something under the bonnet and so that other people with keen ears can hear it.........been told by a lot of my american friends and the guys at profusion that the exhaust will come alive after around 1000 miles and will get deeper and more V8 like, but it will also retain its raspiness on full chat.

driving home was a treat as I got to see the changes the map and exhaust created. The throttle response is hard to describe, its instantaneous...........it feels like I'm always in the perfect gear...........the mid range grunt has also had a big kick up the ass also..........it does feel quicker and is a very smooth delivery.........putting the foot down is now followed by a beautiful roar from the exhaust............even the down shifting seems to be a lot better..........when coming down in speed it adjusts every time, which it didn't before so again another improvement.

All in all it was money well spent it sounds great, drives brilliant and still looks standard as I have kept the original tail pipes on.

I will get some pics together in the next few days and also some videos.............

So finally a BIG thanks to Raj and the guys at Profusion customs for great hospitality, service, professionalism and a job well done.

Raj
