Been offered SMART Cover on a 40d X5 I've bought..... where dings, & scratches are repaired etc. £345 quid for 3 years cover . Is it any good? Never had it before...... 3K's worth cover apparently.
Also 'Tyre Insurance' £298 & max payout of £250 per tyre.

Not sure about ding's and scratch cover - it's a new one on me too. I suppose it may save a claim.
I've got tyre cover on mine and on the Mini. Already had one and these RFTs are kinda expensive (more than £250 in many cases) - especially on the 20" rims!!

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Does it have be 'Sudden Deflation' ? I don't think they'd pay out on a slow puncture or less than 2mm remaining? Was it via BMW ?

Re: SMART Cover & Tyre INsurance - Any Good ?
How much is the tyre insurance......i bought mine through car2cover.co.uk......3 years for £300 and £300 claim limit. I have just had a front replaced and still have 2 1/2 years left. Is a sensible option to have especially if you live in london!
Have the smart cover too and have a few scratches as scrapes that might need looking at. Was told that you pay the £45 call out charge and then the rest is covered. Was advised its best to let a few things build up till calling out. Think it only covers scratches etc smaller than a cd.
