Battery kill switch?

Post by Rebeccabuck » Sat Jan 21, 2012 8:57 am

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a battery kill switch? Or do I have to go through all the rigmarole of emptying the boot!??

No there isn't a battery kill switch of the type you are looking for (for maintenance?). There is an explosive disconnect that fires in the event of an accident and cuts the main +ve cable but leaves the smaller one connected so that the SOS Systems still work. Disconnecting the negative below the boot floor is the way to go.

You'll have to empty the boot..sorry :(

You can disconnect the negative which is easier to access. You'll have to remove the spare to get to it.
