New Wheels and door issues

Post by rbell11 » Tue Aug 24, 2010 9:21 pm

Finally sorted my new wheels :D after much messing around and general hardship, thought I would post an initial pic (sorry taken in dark and without having cleaned car) for opinions.

Image

I've always wanted these wheels and finally found reasonable priced set on ebay. Got them refurbed only to find cracks on back of one alloy during tyre fitting. Lots of welding later and I finally have 4 22inch wheels (I was running 3 plus an old one for weeks).

While all this was going on my passenger door locked shut :x - needs an actuator but it cost me a door card just to get the thing open. It works manually for now until I source a cheap actuator.

Think I may now sell my 19" sport wheels with diamaris tyres (back ones have real good tread 5-6mm - fronts not so good) so anyone interested let me know!

I think they look OK on your car - because of the colour too. Just need to see a three-quarter shot like the one of the 19's, in daylight too.

How'd you find the ride in comparison?

Not really sure on price seem to 500 - 700 on ebay with variable condition and tyres. Make me an offer
I will give them a wash and try to take some close up pics of each wheel and tyre this weekend, then will post a link here.
