Post by ianmaney » Sun Dec 18, 2011 2:49 pm

So I've gone out to the car this morning, started it up, scraped the ice off the glass and low and behold, the nav screen has gone a nasty washed out colour! so when i get chance its out with the head unit and rip the boot apart, the joys of the X5 eh, don't you love em !!! :D

Nasty Coloured Screen !!!

Trust me from experience don't rip the boot out yet! Just take the head unit out and dismantle using the screen replacement how to from xoutpost. Literally just fiddle with the ribbon cable as it worked for me twice so far. I did the boot thing and it wasn't worth it. To top it off it's back breaking stuff!

Good luck and let me know if you can't find the how to.
