Radio goo goo gone.. oh no, it's back again...

My radio unit keeps going off without switching it off at the button.
The orange light just suddenly goes out and the radio goes quiet.
Sat Nav stays on.
Lock the car up, come back to it later and the radio works again.

Sometimes it'll go for ages working fine and then it'll do it three times in a row.

Any ideas?!

Hi, i had issues with no sound on my radio & i disconnected the battery for about 20 mins & it sorted the issue,it might be worth a try.
