Comma oil
I'm sure I read so where years ago that it was recycled used old oil
i used this in my old x5 3.0i and it never used a drop of oil, did oil change put that in (motor factors recomended) and it started using 1ltr every 800-1000miles!!! would never use it again
That's a bit excessive, but the 3.0d M57TU engine does, and should use oil according to BMW. Mine used to use about 0.5 litre every 1,500 or so until it got to about 18,000 miles then it almost stopped. The newer N57S engine in the X6 never uses a drop. But that may also be connected with emissions requirements now.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
Re: Help - Oil Leaking
Have you changed your crankcase breather? If the leak returns then it's worth checking there isn't cr@p blocking it. The early foam ones are not good and a few if us have replaced them with the current 'vortex' design.
