hi i bought a cd with this on off eaby for £6, installed it toook bout 30 secs but it doesnt work, i thought i could use my lead thad goes obd2-serial-usb that i use with inpa? can anyone explain what i need to do thanks

Pretty sure you inpa lead won't work with the BMW scanner 1.4 software

Don't know what it's called to search on eBay but it looks like a little box with the obd socket on it and then you connect an A to B usb lead between that and your pc. I got mine with the software.

oh, that would be something like the link i posted or something similar to it thats sort of a small black box

I think so. Like I said though I've not used it since installing scanner 1.4

Hi Shadrack you can download software off the net, Google" BMW Scanner140 Advanced Set Up" then go from there, :thumbsup:

How much is it direct from there website? Think I paid about £35 but it came from china

Would have been cheaper to buy the lot as a package than buying in Seperates....iirc mine was about £60
