I have just noticed my header tank on my 4.4 has a small leak on it, Where is the best place to buy one from?

That can let go quickly....Personally I suggest dealer call Monday.

yeh with something like that i would go to dealers

Mine was around the £70 mark, about 18 months ago from the dealer.

If new one comes with a new bleed screw then keep old one in glovebox or inside car tool kit.

thanks will do, i will order one tomarrow. In the mean time i have used sealer around the leaking area as a temp fix. I need to use the car for work.

Good luck with that.........In meantime if you have access to another car I would seriously consider it.

Call dealer & ask them to put it on urgent overnight delivery if cost not daft.

Got a new tank,cap and screw from bmw £65.00 all in. I fitted it last night. Only took 10 mins and bleed the system. checked the water level today and still on full. Going to take it on a 30 mile drive so fingers crossed.
