Post by X-5 3.0d » Wed Nov 09, 2011 10:12 pm

Hi All,

Posted a couple of weeks back regarding xenon conversion on my facelift X5, definatley want this modification but not sure if a hid kit will look tacky, seen a couple of sets of genuine xenon headlights on ebay but they are £450+ anyone got a pics of their X5's with hid kits on? so I can make my mind up once a for all!

Have you got projector lamps already? If so then a hid kit will look oe. If not then personally wouldn't until you sorce a set of oe projector headlamps.

do you have a pic of your headlights to show? i've installed HID on both reflector and projector type headlights and they both looked great but ofcourse with the projector one you get better focused beam and less flashing from incoming traffic. you can get a set of headlight assemblies from germany for less than 300 quid.

If u have facelift with projector lenses I would just use a hid kit. I would get whole replacement for prefacelift as it makes the dated lights look more modern with angel eyes as well.
