Mine did the same thing - it was a bush on the rear suspension that needed changing. If you can find out which bush it is you can slacken/tighten the bolt a bit and this might stop the squeak until you get it reaplaced :)

do you need a tool to do this or is it possible to do without? the bush came with a surclip so i assumed it didnt need pressing in, also i was going to drop the air out of the airbag to stop it pushing down on it. i was planning this by ullling the fuses and dissconecting the pipe in the boot, this ok? i took the bolt half out last week to grease and it sprung the hub out i had to use a 4ft tyre leaver to get it to line back up!!

You need the tool to press them out. I've got the OE tool and it was still quite time consuming to get the balljoint out. The new one in is obviously a lot easier.

Definitely release the air pressure from the suspension otherwise (as you found out) its near impossible to get the lot lined back up to get the extension bolt back in.

I did this by just releasing the hose off the top of the airbag itself.

all done, squeek gone, i never changed the press out bush in the end it had all corroded in with it been a steel piece held in an alloy arm, did the l shape piece, really simple, dropped all air out of the airbag and re assembled in no time at all!!
