replacing angel eyes
Really is that easy to fit. Unplug old one, twist holder out, twist new one into vacant position, reconnect and of you go. They will flash just a few times on start-up as part of the bulb check, but there'll be no bulb out warnings. LEDs need less current and have a near instantaneous (faster) 'rise time' than filament lamps, hence the flash being visible.
I found on my old E39 the angel eye lights would strobe every few minutes as theybulb out test constantly monitors for a blow bulb. I don't know if it's different on the E53 as I disabled the checks with BMW scanner when I fitted them.

You can turn checks off with BMW scanner... Can't remember if it's cold checks or hot checks
