central locking

Yesterday my wife noticed when we pulled away that her door wasn't locking (passenger front) as it normally does and the button stayed up.......it locks with the key ok but wont unlock with key or button in car, you have to manually pull the door handle inside to unlock it....any thoughts?

Sounds like the actuator/catch assembly mate not a totally uncommon problem.
Nice easy job though.

You will need a new door catch/actuator unit , door pannel off , side airbag removed then three torque screws and a wiring connector and you will have it removed .
Quite streightforward if you are handy with the spanners, if not aprox 3/4 hrs work fora garage. if you do it yourself be minfull of the airbag( disconnect the battery first )

I think that's fairly typical of the way these solenoids / actuators fail. Mine was intermittent at first and then died completely....
