Long time lurker

Post by roger482 » Sat Oct 22, 2011 2:55 pm

Hi

I have been a long time reader so thought it was about time I introduced myself.

I run the X5 Sport and a M3CSL.

Welcome

Glad you've stopped 'lurking' and have come join the fun :D :D

Last time I saw a 3er in that state it was on my wife's E46 when I opened the front door of the house and found some (deleted) git had stolen the entire bumper! The car was approx 6 feet from the house and we never heard a thing. :x

Mind you, they very kindly left us with all the trim screws and mounting bolts so we could easily fit the new one. Shame the cut all the electics off though. Stolen to order by people who knew exactly what to do. Police reckoned she was followed home - which is seriously creepy!

The repair shop told us it was a very common theft item and only takes about 10mins to remove if you know what to do. Cost £1,000 to replace and repair and a 'blame' accident claim for 'theft from' on her insurance. B85stid5s!
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

The CSL front bumper is Carbon Fibre and was slightly more than £1,000 :headbang:
