Cheers

I went the full hog & went into celebrtation style.......after popping to shops this evening I stopped at Lidl and bought 5 litres of the "ultimate speed" screenwash as kindly recommended in this thread.

Running it at 1:2 ratio so good for -10 degrees centigrade supposedly , (1:1 = -20 & neat = -60).

My motivation also being I had drained & flushed my reservoir & outside temp display was down to 3 degrees Centigrade 1st thing this morning with frost on some cars

:| I know I really am a crazy guy ;)

The party didn't last long though.............

......Within a few mins of my last jubilant post I had the same "Washer Fluid Low" message displayed. I opened the bonnet cursing somewhat & found I had failed to adequately resecure the outlet hose to the largest washer motor.

7.8 litres of newly added washer fluid ended up in engine bay & on the road.

Oh well I still have of my newly acquired screenwash left.

I think I will wait a couple of days, (to ensure all connections secure), before I party like that again

I just went out and got 3 bottles of this stuff too. Had a scary moment last time the bad weather wad hear... Water jets eventually unfroze and as soon as I used them the water froze on my screen. Don't want that again
