Re: Interior Trim Wrapping
I've done a few of the interior black pieces of trim in my Sport with aluminium trim - I was keen to keep the contrast with silver and black. I did the electric window switch panels front and rear, and the panel around the air con switches. I used the 3M carbon di-noc film - no way I would pay anyone to do this, as if you can get the panel off it's easy to apply. Best to use a hairdryer to stretch the film to get a nice tight finish, making sure the plastic is washed and degreaser before starting. Although fairly expensive, this film is superb quality and looks very good when complete.

Appreciate your view monkeyman that there is no way you would pay for someone to do this and as said in earlier post if you have the experience, expertise then absolutely go for it and save yourself some cash, however, I do not feel comfortable removing trims on my car, potentially slipping with a sharp knife or havig the technique and therefore have to pay for the privelage.

Re: Interior Trim Wrapping
I just did mine recently - check out my First Mod post in the E53 section. It's not that difficult once you get going. It would be easier if you had three hands - two to hold the vinyl, and one to hold the heat gun! ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Re: Interior Trim Wrapping
Hi, just bought a 3l diesel sport.....56 plate. Only problem is that the interior trim is wood!! Wanted aluminium or titantium trim. Heard that the centre console is a pig to remove to probably just change the door and dash inserts. Anyone know where and how much I can get replacements for or is it better just to get them painted as the cars soon to get a bit of paint anyway.......sterling grey. Thanks, Mark
Re: Interior Trim Wrapping
Mark, as you have posted on an Trim Wrapping thread I would advise that this is what you do. It is by far the better option. Much better than painting and much better than trying to source new interior trim.
