E53 X5 Winter Wheel & Tyre Set

Hello,

I am new to the forum and I appreciate why that might be annoying to see an advert posted straight away. I have sought and received moderator approval to post here. I initially posted an advert on another BMW forum, but was informed by PM that a greater number of E53 owners are members here. I now drive an F10 5 series, so I'm hoping the last two winters were exceptional! I have bought the OEM set of winter wheels (with Dunlop Winter Sport 3D runflat) which should get me through so long as conditions aren't too bad.

I am looking to sell a set of OEM winter wheels which were the official winter set sold by BMW. They are 17" style 57, fitted with Continental Winter Contact 4x4 235/65/17 tyres and are in immaculate condition. They have been used for around 4000 miles and have 6-7mm of tread depth remaining (out of an initial 8mm). I had a one puncture (last year) which was professionally repaired. These wheels fit all E53 models except the 4.6is and 4.8is which require 18" wheels to clear the larger discs.

The grip levels from these Continental winter tyres is exceptional and they coped very comfortably with last year's conditions.

I am asking £500 for the set and would prefer them to be collected. This would also give the buyer a chance to make sure that they are as described, given that I'm a new poster. I am located in Cumbria. I would send them by courier at cost (probably £50ish) if that's just too far away. Any questions, please ask.

Yes indeed, though personally I would be happy to waiver the comission if sold to me with a 90% discount

Glad you quickly arranged a sale & to a fellow enthusiast too. Not a bad price for those who dont want hassle of messing around sourcing rims & tyres separately & piece of mind for the buyer whose wife will be driving with them this winter.

A decent Winter &/or All Tearrain set up is definitely on top of my most wanted list for my car.

Hope you enjoy the F10 & have a relatively safe winter driving it.

Thanks AW8, I will certainly come back and update when they have been collected (or otherwise). I really appreciate the chance to advertise them here. I think it was just luck to find an E53 owner on the other forum.

As others have said the difference between a good set of winter tyres and the wider summer set which 90% of E53 owners use is huge.

I really like the F10, but haven't yet used it in winter!
