Sat Nav input

Does anyone know if it is possible to enter actual co-ordinates into the "latest" software'd MKIV DVD Sat Nav as you can with the likes of my old Garmin unit? Just wondered as I have quite a few exact locations I wish to store and can't see a way of doing it.

Any thoughts?

I don't remember there being a way of doing that, although you can move the map to that location (roughly) and then memorise it in the address book. Not much good if the location isn't a road or similar though, and you will need some guesswork if it is a non obvious location.

Even the new CIC based iDrive needs the use of Google Maps 'Send to Car' function from a PC. I've not seen a direct co-ord entry function in any of the menus (yet), mind you there are a fair few that I haven't used to date :?

Thanks for the clarification X5Sport.

Having looked myself I wondered if there was something I may have missed or if there was a hidden function.

Never mind, I will just have to take the Garmin and do it that way

Cheers
