fuel trim additions reset

hi all
does it have to go to bmw to get the fuel trim additions reset or can any garage with diagnostic machine do it

Any garage with the right kit should be able to do it. An indy will be rather cheaper :D

cheers ma mates got a hand held one hes going to clear the fault code but it doesnt do the fuel trim additions thats why i was asking if it had to be bmw

Hello mate

Glad you managed to fit the intake pipe, the hose clips are character building to get at !
If you can't get someone to reset the fuel trims they will readapt eventually anyway providing you clear the fault memory, it's best practise to reset them but not essential. Hope the car is now running ok.

you are right stevox5 had to go up under the engine to get to them its the most awkward hose i have ever replaced but yes thats it done
