help please engine management light on

hi all
any body help me my engine management light came on a friend put a small computer thing in and it came up p106 is the fault how do a find out what p106 is am clue less about cars i have a x5 3.0 i petrol 2004

hi all am davie from scotland i have now found out what is wrong with my x5 its the map sensor

map or MAF Davie? I know about MAF sensors but not much about map sensors

no cost about £40 and my mate done fitted it for a £10
