Selling the X and what to do about the stereo

Hi All......Back from my holidays and now the E53 has to go. Question is though should I leave the Hooligan Stereo in or do I return it back to the original and resell the Hooligan.

What would you guys prefer when buying?

Any advice would be great.

On an X5, I would expect OEM.

Shame really as the Hooligan sounds better but i think your right. Needs to be oem to sell. At least the speakers are better

What stereo does it have as I may be looking to upgrade from dsp?

Gurbinder, DSP is fine... its the cheap speakers that if replaced will transform the sound of your stereo.

As the USD weakens against the Â£, I keep thinking about getting the BSW replacement kit from over the pond. That has brilliant reviews.

If that is all I need to do I would rather go the JL Audio or Focal route as I know these products & I also have a JL sub at home.

Yeah you should definitely notice the difference if you upgrade to JL or Focal.

Hey buddy,

You all good? Hope dogs have found a new GOOD family each?

Keep me posted with your searches and if you decide to pull the trigger on this one. I'd go halves on the delivery for the BSW mids in the dash. And yes they are good - Jig has them in his and they do sound much better!

Hi Sanj mate,

Things are ok, I am 6 weeks into a 7 week shift at work in Kazakhstan though so pretty tired and head up my arse!

Dogs will be visiting a few people when I get home, so fingers crossed I find a fantastic home for them.

BSW - I am 75% that I will go for this stuff as I have decided that I am going to keep the car for a bit longer.. no point upgrading when I am out of the country for half of the year and TBH I would like to move house to somewhere with a drive and a garage before I spend a fortune on a car!

I will let you know, I am back on the 16th August but going straight to Austria for a week so anytime after the 24th I would have thought. Drop me a PM after then and I'll let you know what my plans are...
