CF would be too thick mate. The only way you could do that is to take moulds and make a new piece out of CF but that to my mind is far too much work and money.

Just get a sample sheet of 3M Vinyl Wrap and have a go with that. Carbon effect so it looks ok.

I'm sure someone over on Outpost did his whole interior with a CF wrap and it looked impressive. Don't have time to look for you as i'm at work, but I think there was a bit of a " how to " in the thread and materials used explained.

You have to take the airbag off first (spring loaded clips behind the horizontal spokes, use a screwdriver) - then 3 screws iirc at the back of the steering wheel and the centre part comes off.

Be careful if you take the airbag out - best to remove the fuse or battery terminal. And DON'T switch the ignition to poistion 1 or 2 as the light will then come on and only possible to reset at dealer/indy (unless your scanner can do it).

I've done this for the interior of my Volvo, as long as you take your time it works well.

Been on for 18 months now with no issues at all. Just make sure you use the 3M Di-Noc wrap, much better quality than the other makes on sale.
