New Porsche desiel 3.0 vs New x5 desiel 3.0 M Sport
Hi guys, Which one is better New Porsche desiel 3.0 or New x5 desiel 3.0 M Sport?
Re: New Porsche desiel 3.0 vs New x5 desiel 3.0 M Sport
Well posting a question like that on an X5 forum will probably only get you one answer! I thought about the Cayenne diesel vs the X5 40d. The X5 40d is faster, more economical (on paper at least), is available with 7 seats and handles nearly as well and IMHO is better looking. V happy I went for the X5.

I recently compared both .. my thoughts:
- Waiting list for Cayenne is ~9months. Residuals are good while they artificially restrict numbers .. if you can wait!
- No discounts on Cayenne. Expect at least 10% off an X5
- Rear room is much better in X5 and critically for me, the X5 doesn't have a rear transmission tunnel. Cayenne/Touareg/Q7 all have this problem which makes middle seat barely usable.
- No 7 seat option on Cayenne - a deal breaker for me, along with the point above.
- Cayenne shares engine/transmission with Touareg. On mytreg.com , owners are complaining about vibrations/whining transmissions
- Cayenne doesn't have BMW's fab Connected Drive. Its electronics are dated. Even Touareg is better.
- Cayenne has start/stop .. which might be important. And latest variant now matches the X5 30d for power and slightly better emissions. 189 vs 195g/km I think.
