New X5 4.0d M-Sport Ordered !

My first post here - actually stumbled across x5drivers so glad to see the rebirth of it with xdrivers !

Ordered our new X5 , current is a 4.4i Sport, looking like October according to the dealers :

So will be getting the E53 ready for a new home, as much as I'm tempted to keep it after years of faithful service need to make room for the new E70 and my other toy !

Congrats on the new purchase - I passed a few E70's today & definitely growing on me.

ETA October Feels like a ways off yet so I'm filling the waiting time by getting the 4.4 ready for sale and the search for my toy continues, thinking of complementing the new X with a 996 Turbo S (can't stretch to the 997 version), Jag XKR or Aston V8V - all very different toys and sense may rule the day and I'll head down the M5 or XFR route instead !!!

Decided to do collection from dealer and take a leisurely drive back north to gently break her in when we do pick up.

Getting closer indeed Minda, dealer called this morning to say car had finished production and would be "shipping soon" - he doesn't have a hard date yet but thinks mid-to-late october

That was a welcome call to receive on my return from US this morning !

Sounds lovely mate... E70 is definitely getting more attention from me recently. I'm pretty interested in the 4.0d engine and seeing the numbers that the likes of DMS can produce on a re-map.
