Two Handsome and Very Loving Doberman's

Post by Turks » Sun Jul 10, 2011 4:33 am

Hi Guys,

As most of you know, I work away in Kazakhstan. It is a career move I had to make a while back when the company I was working for in the UK was making some redundancies. Well paid work is still hard to come by in the UK near where I live so I have had to sign a Contract in Kazakhstan for another year.

Unfortunately this means that I have had to make one of the hardest decisions ever, to rehome my two fantastic dogs. They are Pedigree Doberman's (no Certificates) and I have known them since the minute they were born.

Taking on two Male Dobermans from the same litter is something I have learnt isn't the best idea. They are absolutely fine with each other when I am around (I must be top dog) but when I go away, there isn't a clear dominant one and this makes them unhappy. Due to this, I think it would be best if they were separated when rehomed. I know that they have been together their whole lives but i'm sure if they went to a good home where there is someone at home most of the day and large gardens / grounds to run around in, they would be very very happy.

I am away at the moment so cannot upload any photo's to this thread... but I do have a link to an advert I placed yesterday. Please have a look if you are at all interested. I am posting on here because I want to target decent people... the only way this decision is made any easier for me is that I will only let them go to a better home than they are in now so ultimately they will be as happy if not happier.

Thanks for looking!

I was commuting every day when I worked in the UK to Manchester or Liverpool or Northwich. Wasn't ideal even when I had the job to be honest with all that commuting!

What were you doing in Lancaster?

I was student scum, sorry ! And it was a long time ago now :(

Went back for a weekend a couple of years ago, the town hadn't changed too much but the campus was almost unrecognisable. The whole south campus didn't exist when I was there. And what were new, posh accommodation blocks back then have been demolished now to make way for newer, posher ones.

Kids these days. Don't know they're born, etc, etc.

Thanks Mitch, they are awesome dogs and will make two families very very happy. Believe me I wouldn't be making this decision if I could find any way to keep them! It has taken well over a year to decide to stop being selfish and rehome them...

Have had quite a bit of interest now so i'll select the best home I can for them... I have told people that they will NOT be going to the highest bidder, they will go to the home that I feel will make them happiest - most have been understanding about this, some have walked away.
