X5 E53 diesel sport
I filled up my X5 for £112 diesel. The needle showed full. Whist driving the computer showed 21.9mpg.Then after about 350 miles the needle showed half fuel in tank ,computer was showing 250 range and 48 mpg. Then i ran out of diesel. It seems the computer and the fuel gauge were giving false readings. I took the car to the mechanic. He says that the drivers side intank fuel pump is leaking fuel so that needs replacing and the sender unit is faulty. He said buy the complete fuel pump and sender together. I have contacted my local car pars supplier , he says he can only get me the intank fuel pump for about £130 but not the sender unit. Is there any where i can ger the intack fuel ump complete with the sender at a reasonable price ? Any good mechanics for X5 in Lancashire ? My X5 also needs a pixel repair, again anyone in Lanacshire who can do this ? I am new to all this all advice welcome
