Where can i put a dvd player??

Hi,

I have finaly managed to get my headrests working. Now i want to connect a dvd player to them.

My first question is, where is the best place to pick up a 'live' and an 'earth' for the headrests?

I am thinking of either wiring a Sony Playstation 2 so it plays dvds and games or i've seen a single din car dvd stereo.

My second question is where would i put them? I was thinking of putting the dvd stereo under the front passenger seat where the first aid box is, at least its quite accessible to change dvd! The only place i can think of putting the PS2 is in the boot area.

Any thoughts?

Also, this pic shows where to get ignition positive for the screens - centre pin in the empty relay holder furthest to the left, top row (don't do permanent positive - flatten your battery)

Hi Roy, can't help with the wiring, but my DVD player is under the rear of the passenger seat and the wires go up into the centre console and then up to the headrests.

1. what's the best route to get it from here into the centre console?
2. what's the best method to connect a cable to this spare?
3. do you know where a good earth is in the console or where I can find one close by?

Under the floor, under the rear seat, under the carpet - not easy. You'll need to lift the centre console slightly to get some room.

I just spliced into the cable, pulled the protective outer layer back and attached my feed. That way the original cable is not disconnected..

The cigarette socket, the brown thick wire is an excellent earth.
