They will fit. Swapped my non folding for folding, just less wires. Connectors are the same too.

Just to confirm what Sanj said ...yes they will fit as i also swapped mine from man folding to auto folding ones

I still have my manual ones as i planned to swap them back when i changed the car.

Just been doing another job this morning which involved taking of the door cars etc..... so i took a few pics to show you how the mirrors are fixed and wired.
Here's the three fixings that hold on the triangular piece of the mirror...

A pic of all the wires to the window switch passenger side

IIRC This wire circled in red will have onlt 2 wires if it's non auto fold...

Well at least I know non folding will fit, just need to be able to get some and get them fitted, the hard part is getting them , so many false hopes in the last week, let's see what this week brings. If anyone does know of anyone selling a pair pls let me know.Thanks.

Have been trying breakers no luck unfortunately, what surprises me how BMW can justify the price of a new mirror for a car that stopped production in 2006-7. It's just obscene, I have been so put off since mine were stolen and all the headache that I'm going through just to get a pair. If I can't get some this week then I may just sell the damn thing as it is . BMW are the cause of the thefts in the 1st place if it weren't for the horrible extortionate price they are charging. Sorry for the rant guys but I'm losing work because of it as well.

Man I feel your pain. The sad thing is they have more likely been stolen to fit onto somenoe else x5 owners car. How someone could live with that i'll never no. Just keep your eyes peeled they may show up on ebay or some site like that.

Totally agree with you the prices bwm quoting for the wing mirrors is a damm right rip off. Especially as the car is no longer off the production line. Keep the faith mate. Its also law to have the O/S mirror in action i believe.

No doubt you may have done. But may be worth trying the U.S sites forums for any going for sale.

I have aslo bought products from www.beastpower.com they have been very good and price friendly.

There are more and more stories like this coming out... people having their car's targeted for the expensive parts on them. A mate of mine had an 08 plate RR Vogue... Jumped in after work and nearly made a mess of his pants when he started the engine. They had cut the exhaust system off from the manifolds!!

No doubt you're trying ebay each day? also worth emailing the sellers to tell them of your prediciment and maybe negotiate a early buy now price to have mirrors on your car.....
Shame E70 ones don't fit, they're cheaper it seems!

This guy has both mirrors, but on a burnt out car, they're prob ok apart from the back covers. maybe trying his luck at Â£275 each. Maybe some negotiation skills could get a deal out of him? I'd be asking for the pair for Â£300........

I may have got some luck with one of these eBay gentlemen , one is a breaker and has told me he has a couple of sets.. But will let me know in the morning.. Please God..not another false start .. I'm beginning to feel like an athelete who just can't get off the starting blocks..but this time I may just be in luck.

Have just received a call from the seller who has just informed me that both mirrors do not have the triangle connected, but do have the cables attached, but have spoken with someone who has told me the cables cannot be fed through the hole into the otherside of the door where the connection is. Sorry if it doesn't make sense.

So if they don't have the triangles attached where has he got them from? possibly the same way someone got yours?

You will always be able to feed the wires through, even if it means cutting off plugs and reattaching them at the other side!

Certainly comes across that way , as the guy is refusing to take my call now, says he is a salvage dealer but you would have thought a salvage dealer would have the triangles connected. Also once I have a set manual or electric folding are they fairly straightforward to install, friend has informed if your not to careful that you could set the airbag on the door off. I'm seriously considering never buying a BMW again after this. Can't believe the headache just for a set if door mirrors. I had mote chance of finding Osama bin laden and Lord Lucan together this.

hi they are easy to fit folding or not the plugs will feed through ,as i bought some folding and the triangles were not too great so used the triangles off my original non folding and fitted them to the new ones , it really is an easy job to do, dont worry
