Wheel Refurbishment

Post by UrbanFlow » Mon May 23, 2011 3:07 pm

Hello fellow X'ers.

Can anyone recommend any good wheel refurbishers?

My tiger claw alloys have a few scuffs, blemishes around teh valves and the insides are flaking - which I hate.
I like a good clean wheel.

I'm in Surrey.
Wouldn't it be great if someone did wheel exchanges?!

A eBay seller does offer an exchange service, though not all wheel styles.

These guys made an excellent job of mine.

I have a spare set, so I dropped them off for a few days and they came back perfect.I chose to have them anthracite.

They will turn them round the same day if you book your car in, £5 extra per wheel for this option.

I saw a Lepsons van dropping wheels off to them!!

Regards

Lepsons have very good write-ups on other forums, may be worth having a chat with them.

Used Lepsons a few times and they are always excellent. Once hit a pot hole in a 206 GTi and it looked like a completely destroyed alloy but they managed to bring it back to life.

Most recently had the XKR done and they used a slightly darker silver which was nice. They look like new but I think they're about £90 a wheel now and that's for 18's.
