coolant level

hi all
had a small leak on the expansion tank so yesterday change it
did not lose much water in the change over and everything seemed to go ok
now i am getting error check coolant level
level seems fine car does not overheat and heater works fine
any ideas you brainy lot

Have you checked the coolant level with the engine cold? It has to be cold as the level will drop. You may also have a bit of air in the system, and/or check the connectors are all plugged in? It's the only thing I can think of if the coolant levels are correct.

checked the level today and its fine
red float up to the top of the cap
no leaks as far as i can see
read some where about a self bleed you can do
tried that and it seemed fine
dont no what else to do

May be the level sensor itself or just the connection.

help really bugging me now
still having it say check coolant level
today i have replaced the coolant level sensor and im am still getting message on the screen
no leaks no overheating heater working fine
does anybody have any more ideas
